Scope of Work – Welder / Fabricator (Aluminum & Steel) Position Summary The Welder / Fabricator is responsible for welding, fitting, cutting, grinding, and fabricating aluminum and steel components used in power-generation equipment, generator enclosures, skids, tanks, SCR stands, cable trays, and related assemblies. This position requires proficiency in GMAW/MIG welding, blueprint interpretation, and fabrication processes while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. Primary Scope of Work Perform GMAW/MIG welding on aluminum and steel components according to assigned qualifications. Fabricate, fit, tack, and weld frames, panels, skids, tanks, enclosures, supports, and related assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Prepare materials, measure components, and verify proper fit-up and alignment. Operate grinders, band saws, port-a-bands, oxyfuel/plasma cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools as qualified. Grind, clean, and finish welded components to required specifications. Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies for quality, dimensional accuracy, and defects. Perform routine welding equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes when trained and authorized. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting production deadlines. Identificar mejoras prácticas en la preparación de la cuadrilla, el flujo de trabajo, la capacitación y la calidad; llevar a cabo los proyectos de mejora aprobados. Participar en actividades de desarrollo de liderazgo, solicitar retroalimentación y desarrollar los conocimientos técnicos y el criterio necesarios para dirigir una cuadrilla de manera consistente a medida que crece la empresa. Otras responsabilidades Apoyar las tareas operativas y las actividades de desarrollo asignadas, y realizar otros trabajos relacionados según las indicaciones del supervisor de equipo o de la dirección de operaciones. Requisitos Indispensables Capacidad para comunicar claramente las instrucciones de trabajo, liderar con el ejemplo y orientar respetuosamente a los integrantes de la cuadrilla. Asistencia constante y puntual, disposición para comenzar temprano y capacidad para cumplir el horario requerido por las operaciones de campo asignadas. Capacidad para aprender y seguir los procedimientos de vacunación, calidad, seguridad, bioseguridad y bienestar animal. Disposición para realizar el trabajo práctico de la cuadrilla, recibir retroalimentación y asumir responsabilidades cada vez mayores dentro de la autoridad establecida. Requisitos deseables Experiencia en servicios avícolas, vacunación, operaciones agrícolas o trabajos de cuadrilla relacionados. Experiencia en la capacitación de compañeros de trabajo, la dirección de un equipo o la sustitución de un supervisor. Entorno laboral y requisitos físicos El trabajo se realiza en el taller, en galpones avícolas y en otros entornos agrícolas. Las tareas incluyen trabajo activo en campo, manejo de aves, preparación de equipos y trabajo junto con la cuadrilla en condiciones ambientales variables. El empleado debe poder realizar las tareas asignadas de la cuadrilla y seguir las prácticas requeridas de seguridad, bioseguridad y bienestar animal, con adaptaciones razonables cuando corresponda. Relaciones laborales clave Trabaja directamente con el supervisor de equipo asignado, los integrantes de la cuadrilla, los gerentes de división u operaciones y los departamentos de apoyo.
