If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for machining and fabrication, this opportunity is perfect for you! *Duties* * Setup and operate CNC laser cutting machines. * Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to determine specifications and machining requirements. * Conduct dimensional measurements using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. * Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting industrial equipment issues, and adjusting machine parameters for optimal performance. * Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment. * Collaborate with team members on assembly line processes, materials handling, and packaging finished products efficiently. *Experience* * Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes within a manufacturing or factory setting. * Familiarity with interpreting mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation. * Knowledge of shop math, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and fabrication techniques related to metalworking. * Hands-on experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, tooling setup, and precision measurement instruments like micrometers and calipers. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to safety standards in a manufacturing environment. * Prior warehouse or factory experience involving materials handling, packaging, or assembly line operations is highly desirable. Job description *Job purpose* The employee on this position put lumber beams in a gain rip saw machine to be cut in smaller pieces. First, he fills the bench close to the saw with the beams, then, he/she turn on the saw and starts feeding the saw machine. The average size of these beams is 4’ x 1’ x ¾” *Duties and responsibilities* Transfer the beams from the pallet to the bench close to the saw. * Turn on the saw machine and start “feeding” the saw trough the “in” port. * Turn off the saw at breaks, lunch time and end of the shift. * Report any mechanical issues or safety problems to his supervisor. *Qualifications* The employee on this position should be able to lift medium loads (up to 40 pounds). Safety gear must be used (safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, apron). Qualifications include: * Minimum Education * Skills * Abilities * Experience is preferred by the time of hiring. *Working conditions* Working conditions are the normal found in a lumber/wood working plant, ventilated indoor area; earplugs and safety glasses are required also the use of gloves to handle wood beams. There is always another employee at the “out” port of the saw receiving the wood. This job is performed mainly at 1st. shift from Monday through Friday. *Physical requirements* The operator should be standing performing this job close to the saw; there are 15 minute breaks that are taken as long as the operator needs. There is a repetitive movements by the time the operator loads the wood to the saw feeder. The operator should be able to handle loads up to 40 pounds.
