This role provides recovery-oriented support to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services. The Peer Support Specialist uses lived experience to help clients build connections with community resources, develop long-term recovery supports, and remain engaged throughout the treatment process. This position works closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team and community partners to promote recovery, improve outcomes, and support clients before, during, and after treatment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide peer support services utilizing lived experience to promote client recovery and engagement. Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members and community partners to support client care and recovery planning. Image Transfer- Maintains thorough understanding of PACS, and transmits images to QC, UNCH’s EMR, EPIC and PACS, verifies and segments images at the QC station, accesses IMPAX service tools to verify images transmission, completes, modifies and/or cancels orders in an appropriate and timely manner, cancels duplicate orders to avoid duplicate billing. Insures that all charge information is accurate. Verifies patient identification in accordance with UNC policy, insures that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images. 5. Other Duties- Performs task in a timely manner, runs the schedule creating a consistent workflow, volunteers to work on challenging tasks, difficult procedures and new research, produces quality diagnostic images, reviews patient's chart and reports for correlation, maintains a clean and orderly work environment, creates and keeps documentation of incidents as improvement opportunities for employees and the department. In this role, you will provide administrative assistance and program support for the City's Housing Rehabilitation and Lead Safe Housing Program teams. Your responsibilities may include: Processing applications in accordance with HUD regulations and program requirements. Following up with applicants and assisting residents throughout the application process. Maintaining accurate and confidential program and client files. Processing bids and assisting with contracts and closings. Scheduling inspections and coordinating environmental review requests. Assisting with deed restrictions and related documentation. Verifying home ownership and applicant income. Coordinating tenant relocation arrangements. Maintaining rehabilitation program databases and generating database reports. Assisting with grant writing activities and preparation and submission of required federal reports. Providing professional and responsive customer service to program clients. Safeguarding personally identifiable information and maintaining confidentiality. Communicating and coordinating with residents, contractors, program partners, and City staff. Traveling outside the office as needed to meet with clients, contractors, and program partners. Performing other administrative and program support duties as assigned. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, organized, flexible, and dependable. Qualifications What You Bring: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. with 1 to 3 years of administrative or program support experience involving Application processing, Records Management, and Data Entry.
