Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes. Educate patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle changes, and disease management. Participate in research or clinical trials to advance knowledge in gastroenterology. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records to ensure continuity of care. Stay updated on new treatments and technologies within the field of gastroenterology. Build relationships with patients, value bedside manner, and possess excellent clinical skills. Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care. Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information. Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
