Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by Harbor Group Management Company. • Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; manage delinquencies and implement collection procedures. • Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and complete financial reporting tasks. • Process accounts payable and vendor invoices; ensure proper coding, approvals, and reconciliation. • Assist with month-end close-out procedures, general ledger postings, and security deposit accounting. • Assist in leasing efforts including showing units, processing applications, and executing lease agreements. • Support lease renewal programs and educate new and prospective residents on community policies. • Shop competitive properties regularly to maintain market awareness. • Respond promptly and professionally to resident complaints, service requests, and inquiries. • Promote resident satisfaction and retention through excellent customer service and proactive communication. • Circulate community notices and correspondence on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis. • Use property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, or MRI) for transaction entry, record keeping, and reporting. • Ensure compliance with company policies, lease agreements, legal requirements, and fair housing laws. • Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs, including lease term reviews, fee application, and disposition processing. • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely unit turns and service requests. • Act as on-site supervisor in the absence of the Property Manager. • Assist in training and supervising property staff, delegating tasks as appropriate. • Maintain open communication with ownership/management and provide community performance updates as needed. Business Partner Support, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness (25%) Support the Senior HR Business Partner in executing workforce, talent, performance, organizational change, and leadership initiatives. Conduct analysis, coordinate activities and follow-up, and help ensure agreed-upon people actions and programs are effectively implemented. Workforce Analytics, HR Technology & Continuous Improvement (10%) Use Workday, Included, and other HR technologies to maintain accurate workforce information, generate reports, analyze trends, and support decision-making. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve workflows and data quality, and responsibly use technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve HR service delivery. Associate Experience, Engagement & Development (15%) Support onboarding, engagement, recognition, learning, development, and retention initiatives. Conduct stay and exit interviews, monitor engagement feedback and trends, coordinate required training, and partner with leaders and Human Resources Centers of Excellence to support an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace. HR Operations, Compliance & Program Administration (15%) Execute and administer core Human Resources programs and processes, including unemployment benefits, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, accommodations, benefits-related processes, HR documentation, and regulatory requirements. Ensure activities are completed accurately, consistently, and timely in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws, partnering with Human Resources Centers of Excellence as appropriate. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field required. Experience A minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training in a business-facing HR role supporting multiple client groups. Demonstrated experience independently managing employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Experience coaching leaders on Human Resources practices, employment policies, associate performance, and workplace matters. Experience applying federal, state, and local employment laws and HR practices to support compliant and consistent employment decisions. Demonstrated experience using Workday HCM as an HR practitioner to execute HR processes, maintain workforce data, generate reports, and support talent and workforce activities. Experience using workforce data and metrics to identify trends and inform decisions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles, employee relations practices, and applicable employment laws and regulations. Strong coaching, consultation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility and work effectively with leaders and associates at all levels. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret information and recommend practical solutions. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Workday, and other HR technology platforms. Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities and sensitive information in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include: Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field and/or a professional Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR. Experience supporting multiple functions within a matrixed, multi-site, or geographically dispersed organization. Experience working closely with HR Business Partners and Human Resources Centers of Excellence to execute people programs and initiatives. Experience supporting organizational change, workforce planning, talent and succession processes, organizational effectiveness, learning and development, or engagement initiatives. Experience leveraging workforce analytics, HR technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools to generate insights, improve processes, or enhance HR service delivery. Familiarity with continuous improvement, process optimization, and change management practices.
