This role is the single-point operational owner for Knitting and is expected to develop the leadership team, solve recurring problems, and build systems that sustain results without constant senior-leadership intervention. Core Responsibilities · Own daily and weekly Knitting performance across all three shifts and six knitting sets, including safety, production, quality, downtime, staffing, attendance, labor productivity and schedule attainment. · Lead and sustain ETI’s SQDIP/GEMBA daily-management process: visible metrics, short accountability reviews, clear owners, due dates, countermeasures and verification that improvements remain in place. · Provide strong floor presence across shifts; hold supervisors and team members consistently accountable while maintaining a respectful, positive work environment. · Manage headcount and labor to actual demand, address chronic attendance/reliability issues with HR, and ensure effective shift handoffs. · Ensure equipment readiness, process-parameter discipline, SOP/standard-work compliance and timely escalation of maintenance or technical deficiencies. · Lead continuous improvement using practical Lean/SQDIP methods, Pareto analysis, standard work and structured problem solving; replicate successful practices from the best-performing sets across the room. · Support integration of acquired equipment/products through training, technical qualification, capacity planning, quality gates and first-run approval. · Own performance evaluations, coaching, development plans and progressive discipline; distinguish skill gaps from repeated unwillingness to meet expectations and act accordingly. Candidate Profile · 7+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with 5+ years directly leading hourly employees; multi-shift leadership of roughly 40–100+ employees strongly preferred. · Demonstrated success improving an underperforming manufacturing operation through daily management, metrics, coaching, accountability and process improvement. · Strong manufacturing quality, root-cause/corrective-action, production planning and frontline performance-management capability. · Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred; textile, circular-knit, hosiery or other quality-sensitive manufacturing experience is a plus, but leadership capability is more important than being the strongest technical expert. · Confident leading highly experienced technical employees without becoming intimidated, overly authoritarian or dependent on senior leaders to enforce authority. · Strong communication, conflict resolution, analytical and computer skills; working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Applying Lean Manufacturing principles, submit recommendations for the addition of material handling and processing equipment where needed. Monitor the effectiveness of district shipping and receiving operations. Drive efficiency improvements in truck scheduling and utilization. Monitor the utilization of plant equipment, rolling stock and manpower in a lean environment. Ensure compliance with O'Neal quality policies and manual. Encourage operating personnel to reduce processing, shipping and delivery errors; monitor the overall quality of goods and services produced by the operation and actively work to reduce the number of RA's, credits, debits, etc. Promote and maintain effective housekeeping using guidelines and disciplines. Obtain necessary permits, licenses, etc. for normal business operation. Reduce and eliminate where possible circumstances which may lead to the personal injury of employees, or loss or damage of company equipment. Monitor and maintain an effective safety program. Promote a positive employee environment that will encourage all employees to participate in their growth and the growth of the district. Train supervisory personnel in these techniques. Conduct job duties in a manner that contributes to the district maintaining its union free status. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards. Create an atmosphere of continuous improvement in all facets of the operation; move to increase self-directed work and less direct supervision of employees through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Actively promote excellent customer service through example, training, and ensuring that all commitments to customers are met, including delivery promises, special instructions and processing tolerances. Quality Responsibility: Responsible for providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position. Skills and Qualifications 3+ years years as a Production Supervisor, supervising operating employees in material handling, processing, fabrication, maintenance, scheduling, delivery and safety. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook. Experience with ERP system required. Able to work in a high-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 2- or 4-year degree Business Administration, Engineering or Industrial Management, or equivalent experience, required. Speak conversational English. Position Summary: The Creeler is primarily responsible for creeling assigned yarns on correct knitting machines in an efficient and safe manner. Position Responsibilities: Creeler will creel twelve (12) machines total. Keep yarn from being damaged while transferring from yarn boxes to yarn pin trucks. Stack yarn on yarn pin trucks only one layer above top row of pins. Creelers are responsible for removing empty cones and breaking down yarn boxes. Follow all safety procedures/policies and advise management of any unsafe conditions. Keep work area neat and clean. Perform other duties as assigned. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician I, you will support a broad range of electrical and mechanical assembly and installation activities in a dynamic, high energy production environment building electrical control racks, wire harnesses, and other sub-assemblies for the best rail vehicles in the world. Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am What your day-to-day will look like: Build up and assemble units in passenger coaches such as, but not limited to, roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, and panels, including air supply racks and piping assemblies. Connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Cut wire to specified lengths and route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal points. Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble components as required.
