Equivalent experience in a related field combined with a three-year electrical apprenticeship may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare facility experience highly preferred. Knowledge of mechanical equipment operation and repair. Proficiency with personal computers and common PC software applications. Licensure A city/county journeyman's card and/or an electrician's license from state of employment, required. Valid NC Drivers License Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stretch, and perform medium to heavy physical work. Ability to kneel for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights and in confined spaces. Manual dexterity required to safely operate tools and equipment. Ability to hear and recognize changes in equipment and machine operation. Ability to work in noisy, fast-paced, and occasionally stressful environments. Ability to work extended shifts when needed. What You'll Do: Perform advanced-level electrical work to maintain and extend the service life of hospital facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical distribution systems. Maintain and service switchgear, motor control centers, emergency generator sets, and transfer switch equipment. Diagnose and resolve issues with A/C equipment and related electrical components. Apply life safety, electrical, and building codes in all work performed. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical service manuals. Utilize electrical testing devices to ensure safe and accurate system performance. Support a safe work environment and respond to urgent facility needs during on-call rotations. Travel as needed to local facilities to provide support
