We are seeking a dedicated DA II to support our dentists in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is responsible for assisting chairside, maintaining operatory inventory, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control, and preparing treatment rooms and materials. Key Responsibilities Daily, weekly, and monthly tasks include (but are not limited to): Assist the dentist with all aspects of patient care. Reinforce preventive care instructions to patients. Seat and prepare patients for treatment. Support patients during dental procedures while ensuring comfort and calm. Clean and disinfect operatories after each procedure. Prepare tray set-ups and sterilize all instruments. Expose digital radiographs (X-rays). Take preliminary impressions as needed. Monitor all lab cases to ensure readiness for patient appointments. Maintain accuracy of the lab tracking system. Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatory readiness. Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies. Assist with obtaining 5-star Google reviews through excellent service. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Attributes Excellent planning and organizational abilities. Document patient’s discharge and in-services on a discharge summary as indicated 9. Document any caregiver or discharge in-services on an in-service form as indicated. 10. Complete any and all other documentation forms required by Facility. 11. Document care plans and information needed for the MDS as deemed necessary by the facility 12. Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated by Supervisor and/or Regional Manager. 13. Participate in facility committee meetings as indicated 14. Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team 15. Participate in scheduling of patients as indicated 16. Perform screens as indicated 17. Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy services rendered. 18. Cover other therapists patient caseload during absence as necessary 19. Supervise junior staff members or students as needed. Co-sign notes as required. 20. Maintain professional relationship with co-workers, facility staff, patients and patient families 21. Provide in service education regarding patient care or physical therapy services to rehab staff, facility staff, hospitals and/or community as needed 22. Comply with all facility policies and procedures 23. Comply with patient confidentiality and Federal Resident Rights 24. Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times. 25. Adhere to productivity requirements. 26. Comply with all Facility HR policies re: lunch, sick and time off notification. 27. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating and communicating in a professional manner so as to foster positive relations with customers, clients, co-workers and managers 28. BLS certification through AHA required. Job Type: Full-time Duties Include, but not limited to the following: Room patients and enter chief complaint, medical history and current medications into the EHR Manage patient scheduling for Cardiology specific procedures/testing (cardiac catherizations, Holter monitors, imaging) Track and manage referrals Process prior authorizations for cardiology medications Plans, provides, and documents professional medical assisting care utilizing the medical assisting process, in accordance with physician/APP orders and established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the department manager. Promptly and accurately completes initial assessment including taking / recording weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and pain assessment. Asks chief complaint for visit, and updates allergies and medications in EPIC. Notes abnormal conditions. Collects and analyzes patient data, documents and communicates appropriately medical assisting actions taken and patient responses of the actions taken. Concisely document all patient related calls, orders, and transactions in the medical record. Provide pre and post procedure instructions When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, employees use double identifiers to ensure right patient every time. Other clinical support responsibilities include disposing of contaminated supplies, instrument processing, high level disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments, telephoning prescriptions to a pharmacy, preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician, and authorizing drug refills as directed.
