The candidate will be responsible for designing major components or major portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and promotional or specific products using computer design and engineering systems. Investigate pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Designs, develops and tests metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs. What You Will Do: Integrate electrical components and wiring into design while meeting vendor and OEM requirements. Liaises between electrical integration team, electrical certification, design engineering, vendors and project teams. Prepare work statements for electrical integration team. Direct the work of outsource resources assigned on projects in electrical integration areas. Verify system configuration and block diagrams. Verify structural acceptability of designs by testing prototypes for reliability and FAA certification through static and dynamic crash testing.
