We are a growing e-commerce business specializing in collectible and historical paper items, and we are looking for an unusually reliable, careful, and efficient person to join our small Greensboro operation. This is not a typical warehouse job. Most of the work involves handling and organizing collectible inventory, locating sold items, scanning material, preparing outgoing orders, and keeping our inventory system accurate and organized. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, works quickly without becoming careless, and can be trusted to work independently once trained. *What you’ll do* * Locate and pull sold inventory accurately * Package and prepare customer orders for shipment * Scan and process collectible inventory * Demonstrate comfort with online backend inventory management systems (computer skills a requirement) * Maintain an orderly and efficient workspace * Follow simple written procedures and improve your speed as you learn the system * Perform other light e-commerce and inventory tasks as needed *What we care about most* You do not need experience with collectibles or e-commerce. We care much more about whether you are: * Extremely dependable and punctual * Honest and trustworthy * Careful with details * Comfortable with computers and software * Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy * Organized and methodical * Comfortable working independently * Able to follow a system consistently * Willing to learn and improve * Someone who notices when something looks wrong instead of simply ignoring it *Schedule* Approximately *20–30 hours per week*. We have some flexibility in scheduling and can discuss the exact days and hours with the right candidate. Daytime weekday availability is preferred. This is an *in-person position in Greensboro, NC*. *Pay* Starting pay: *$20–22/hour*, depending on experience and demonstrated ability. Strong performers who become highly productive, accurate, and dependable will have the opportunity for increased compensation and additional responsibility, including management opportunities. *Work environment* We are a small business rather than a large corporate warehouse. The environment is quiet, straightforward, and task-focused. There is very little customer interaction. Much of the work is independent once you understand the system. This may be especially appealing to someone who enjoys organized, repetitive work but does not want to spend the day dealing with customers. The inventory itself is also unusual: you will regularly handle historical postcards, photographs, documents, and other collectible material dating back many decades. *Physical requirements* This is primarily light warehouse and fulfillment work. You should be comfortable: * Standing and walking for portions of the workday * Reaching shelves and storage boxes * Performing repetitive sorting, scanning, and packaging tasks * Occasionally moving boxes of inventory This is not heavy industrial warehouse work. *How to apply* Please send your resume or a brief description of your recent work experience. In your application, please also answer these two questions: *1. Tell us about a job, project, or responsibility where being accurate and detail-oriented was especially important. Any experience relevant to the e-commerce operations described above is of particular interest.* *2. What are you hoping your work and life will look like over the next 2–3 years, and how would a 20–30 hour/week position fit into that?* Please answer both questions in your application. Applications that do not include responses may not be considered. Candidates who appear to be a strong fit will first have a short phone conversation. Finalists may be invited to complete a *paid working interview* involving several examples of the actual work. We are looking for someone we can rely on and ideally work with for a long time. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week Benefits: * Flexible schedule People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
