Distribution Clerk Thomasville NC 2nd Shift

Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position. Responsible for monitoring product being loaded to ensure the quality of every load. Major Function and Scope: • Lock out trailers • Pick up and handle pallets, boxes, wood moldings and carpet pad safely without damage to product or facility. • Operate portable scanner system to track inventory • Inspect Trailers and Lift Truck • Housekeeping of trailers and dock (clean/sweep as needed) • Work directly with Planning Staff to close loads (drop seals, remove dock plates, and open/close doors) • Ensure all items on every load meet perfect package requirements ensuring no damaged product are shipped • Visually inspect trailer contents and make educated decisions quickly to maximize load factor, minimize damage and maintain stability of products • Pull LTLs to the door • Coordinate employee duties • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision • Follow all established standard operating procedures • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary • Perform other tasks assigned by management Type of Experience and Knowledge: • High School Diploma or GED preferred • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to lead and direct others without conflict • 20/40 vision (corrected OK) • Excellent multitasking skills • Lift truck driving aptitude and physical agility to mount/dismount lift truck multiple times daily as demonstrated in job tryout Competencies: • Self motivated and possesses a high level of organizational skills • Safety oriented • Good overall Attendance and Corrective Action record Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information: (Such as: American with Disabilities Act- ADA requirements for certain hourly positions). Distribution Center Receiving Associate

Job Description The Receiving Associate will unload shipments, verify, and transport items to the appropriate location in the Distribution Center. Responsibilities The following section contains the primary responsibilities for this position. Job holder is responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by management. Unloads shipments, verifies the accuracy of shipments and transports shipments (using a variety of methods) to proper location throughout the stockroom. Records all incoming shipments on receiving log. Distributes, sorts, and records shipments received via UPS, UPS, Federal Express, etc. Delivers next day airmail immediately upon receipt. Handles Pro Point repair and returns. Ships W.O.G. and cross docks to jobbers. Assists in the unloading of returned merchandise from stores, verifies accuracy of piece count, and transports merchandise to check-in areas. Performs any and all management assigned duties. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. 6 months prior work experience. Have a working knowledge of the entire stockroom. Ability to work in a fast paced setting and have the capability to work calmly under pressure. Ability to communicate with customers, supervisors, and other Will Call employees. Possess personal drive, self-motivation and initiative to accomplish company goals. Possess a willingness and ability to learn. Possess analytical problem solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, sometimes including weekends and holidays as required by customer business needs. Ability to pass a drug screen test and routine background inquiry. Strong customer relationship skills. Ability to utilize and operate a RADS gun. Must be able to be certified as a forklift operator. Visually capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers and their sequencing. Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively. Ability to work on feet (stand and walk) for entire assigned work shift. Capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes up to 60 pounds. Ability to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor level shelves and able to reach upper shelves with use of stool or ladder when necessary. Ability to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment with moving aids designed to move such items, including hand truck, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc. Physical Demands / Working Environment Environment: Position operates in a warehouse setting with continuous exposure to industrial noise (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, machinery, and loading activities), bright overhead lighting, and varying temperatures due to limited climate control. The OMS is responsible for order/quote entry, confirming order status, vendor acknowledgments, and customer follow-up. This position will work directly with the sales, design, and project management teams in an effort to exceed the customer's expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and communication skills and work well in a team environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Supporting the Sales Team with all aspects of order fulfillment Ensuring data accuracy regarding quoting and order placement Following up with vendors to ensure the accurate shipment and receipt dates Updating and tracking delivery tickets to ensure proper completion of orders Working with vendors to improve upon ship dates, order inaccuracies, and other issues affecting customer orders Working with sales to stay in communication with the customer throughout the ordering process Working with vendors to obtain pricing, dealer discount information, and freight charges for orders and quoting proposals Ensuring that billing is handled properly and promptly, including: coding, releasing of orders and invoices, and billing of proper dollar amounts Communicating daily with accounting to ensure that all pending issues have been resolved Ensuring that zero sell and credit memos have the proper authorization and are completed per company policy Troubleshooting any issues that occur with work orders and communicating these to the team in a timely manner in order to rectify the situation Taking part in weekly status meetings to ensure pertinent information is conveyed to team members regarding order fulfillment and customer satisfaction Understanding and following all sales service customer agreements Maintaining product contracts for customers (found on the T drive) Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including all files and documents Reviewing ATB reports and working with the sales staff to resolve any issues to ensure that payment is received in a timely manner Providing back-up telephone coverage to the receptionist as needed Informing the CSR Manager any time an issue needs to be addressed or elevated Helping with any other duties as needed by the team at the discretion of the CSR Manager Education and/or Experience Associates Degree with 2 years of high-level customer service and data entry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (some accounting or purchasing background preferred) Experience working with computers and Windows operating system Interior design background a plus
