Kelly Mauldin’s healthcare career story is all about opportunity, perseverance and growth. As a regional manager at Bethany Medical, Kelly oversees multiple clinics across the Carolina Core, helping support daily operations, staff development and patient care. Based in Randleman, North Carolina, Kelly has spent her life living and working in the Carolina Core. Her career reflects how the region supports long-term professional growth in healthcare while allowing individuals to remain closely connected to their families and communities in the Carolina Core.
“Bethany Medical gave me the opportunity to grow into leadership while staying rooted in the community where I live and raised my family.”
Rooted in Community
Kelly’s focus has always been on building stability close to home. She wanted her children to share the experiences she had growing up and attend the same great local schools. So, after high school, she chose to remain in the area to build her life.
Though staying close to family mattered to her, she soon realized that she also wanted a career that would be fulfilling and have growth opportunities. Fortunately, the strength of the local healthcare industry made it possible for her to achieve that goal.
Career and Business Journey
Kelly entered the healthcare field more than 10 years ago. At the time, she was a single mother of five balancing multiple factory jobs. Eventually, her search and a referral from a close friend are what brought her to Bethany Medical.
She started working at the front desk, and this role gave Kelly direct exposure to the administrative side of healthcare, allowing her to learn how Bethany Medical operates from the ground up. She worked weekends at various locations, filling in when needed and taking on additional shifts as opportunities arose. That flexibility helped her advance her career.
“Starting in a weekend clerical position allowed me to learn the organization from the ground up and build the skills that helped me grow into leadership.”
As Kelly’s knowledge and confidence grew, she began stepping into leadership responsibilities. She advanced into a Team Lead role supporting clerical staff, followed by a Senior Team Lead position with oversight across the organization. Later, as Assistant Clerical Manager, she worked closely with leadership while helping manage clerical operations companywide.
Over the past two and a half years, Kelly has served as a Regional Manager at Bethany Medical, overseeing three clinics and supporting teams across multiple locations. Her progression reflects both her willingness to learn and Bethany Medical’s commitment to developing its employees.
Life in the Carolina Core
Life in the Carolina Core offers Kelly a balance that supports both her career and her family. From her home in Randleman, she can easily reach nearby cities like Greensboro and High Point while still enjoying the close-knit feel of a small town. That accessibility makes it easier to manage daily responsibilities while staying connected to the people and places that matter most to her.
Kelly enjoys supporting local businesses and spending time at community events in Randleman. Downtown gatherings often include live music, local vendors and seasonal celebrations that bring residents together and reflect the town’s strong sense of community. She appreciates that these events create opportunities to connect with neighbors and stay engaged locally.
She also spends time throughout the region attending sporting events, visiting museums and enjoying restaurant options in nearby cities. From baseball games and fireworks to evenings spent downtown, Kelly enjoys how easy it is to stay active and involved without long travel times.
“I can be in Greensboro or High Point in about 20 minutes and still come home to a small town where everyone knows each other. It really feels like the best of both worlds.”
